What a joy to read through these gleanings from Ida Rolf's advanced class! I attended that class in 1976, and I can hear my young voice (and certainly my immature thinking) in some of those questions. But I can hear HER voice in every paragraph - the definite and particular way she spoke, formally academic in syntax but definitely a very grounded New Yorker in accent and practicality.
It's a journey back for me, but perhaps a journey in for you. If you are taking on the fascinating conundrum of human structures and their integration, we cannot bring Ida P Rolf back to life. These lectures and discussions will help you marinate in the process. And then go work - this is no untested theory, this is built on experience. These lessons may resonate with you as they have with me for 50 years of steady practice of her work.

For those who worked directly with her or those who wish to take in the spirit of her teachings and literally 'hear' her speaking, this incredible text captures it all.

It's quite wonderful. Only now, nearly sixty years later, do I fully appreciate the privilege of having been around Dr. Rolf in person. This fine volume of her words to her senior students as she approached the end of her life invites the reader to draw near and listen. She still has much to tell us.

Dr. Rolf weaves her thesis with humanitarian threads that speak clearly to anyone doing body work, reminding us that we are teachers, not therapists. What a great job! So rich in restrained detail, like all good poetry. Although I knew the outline I learned a lot. I particularly like the embedding in psychohistory. "If anyone remembers history…" I mutter under my breath - so many haven't a clue what came before. You have given us the likely definitive film version, since no one is likely to do it again, certainly not better. Thank you for making it credible and creditable. Thank you for all the research. Thank you for your weaving of the scientific and the spiritual. Really well done, you are to be congratulated.

A must see for any practitioner of Structural Integration. Very compelling story telling — brilliantly organized. Anyone interested in healing theories or modalities of any kind will be absolutely fascinated by this very warm portrayal of Dr Rolf. I imagine that very few people know anything to this depth about her unique and brilliant life.

Brilliant documentary. Puts "Fascia" in its place — figuratively and literally. Must see for anyone interested in the latest scientific contribution to the new holistic paradigm, particularly a must for those in the manual healing arts and other medical/therapeutic modalities. Presented with a refined sense for production values and flow. Scripted and narrated with love and respect and gratitude to the brilliant contribution of Dr. Ida P. Rolf.
